I close my windows every morning
The curtains of my tiny room have always been black
Since I was born I’ve been in a state of mourning
I push the light of sun away, I never want it back
People keep describing me as gloomy
They think there is a problem in my mind and heart
I’m just a pretty, healthy, normal girl, poor me
So why do I try so hard to keep my soul and life apart?
I’m not as weird as you think, I’ m even worse!
I carry on my back the biggest guilt, just like a horse
The guilt of being human, not a spot
Of feeling different than you all, while I’m not!

My lovely little home is almost naked
There’s just a huge red pillow to keep it in my lap
There was a mirror too, but I decided to break it
Instead of watching me I find it easier to watch the coffee grains in my cup

Perhaps I wasn’t meant to change the world, but who is?
Who would negotiate their life more definitely than me?
Who would be ashamed enough and blame themself for all this?
And this person who says I’m useless; could it be that this person is me...?
